The RC fiber, with 80um diameter cladding, could be built the small and lightweight couplers. And the bend insensitive fiber has very low bend loss compared with the standard fiber. These special fiber couplers could be used in many areas such as fiber sensor and fiber gyro. Another kind of special fiber coupler has the operating temperature range from -55 to +150℃. This coupler was built of the special fiber with high temperature material coating. |
